Egypt Post Accelerates Digital Transformation with New “Baridi” Service and Expanded Financial Solutions

Egypt Post Chairperson Dalia El-Baz briefed Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly on the latest developments in postal services and the organization’s digital transformation initiatives during his visit to Egypt Post’s pavilion at the Cairo International Technology Exhibition and Conference (Cairo ICT 2026).

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Eng. Raafat Hendy, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and welcomed by El-Baz, who presented the latest achievements, projects, and newly introduced services, particularly the “Baridi” digital correspondence service.

The presentation also covered a comprehensive range of financial, logistics, and technological solutions designed to facilitate citizens’ access to government, financial, and postal services while advancing digital transformation and financial inclusion.

“Baridi” Introduces a New Generation of Official Digital Correspondence

During the tour, El-Baz presented “Baridi”, a next-generation digital correspondence service that provides an electronic alternative to traditional registered mail and registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt.

The service enables users to send and receive official correspondence and documents electronically, with built-in identity verification for both senders and recipients. It also records the exact dates and times of sending and receipt and provides reliable digital evidence of delivery.

Furthermore, the platform ensures the protection of correspondence content and attachments against tampering or unauthorized modifications, offering a secure and reliable channel for exchanging official documents.

El-Baz explained that Baridi helps reduce processing times and administrative procedures while minimizing reliance on paper-based documentation without compromising the legal validity of official correspondence.

The service is expected to simplify transactions for individuals, businesses, and government entities, providing a secure digital communication solution aligned with Egypt’s broader digital transformation agenda and the modernization of government services.

Easy Pay Expands Digital Financial Services

As part of Egypt Post’s efforts to develop digital financial services, El-Baz reviewed the enhanced features and services offered through the “Easy Pay” mobile application.

The application provides users with an integrated range of financial services, including balance and account statement inquiries, card management, money transfers, and payment of bills and other obligations.

These features enable customers to manage their financial transactions more conveniently and efficiently through their mobile phones, reducing the need to visit traditional post offices to complete routine transactions.

Visa Plus Supports the Digital Payments Ecosystem

El-Baz also presented “Visa Plus” as one of Egypt Post’s digital solutions aimed at strengthening the electronic payments ecosystem and expanding access to digital financial services.

The initiative reflects Egypt Post’s commitment to providing more accessible, flexible, and secure payment methods while supporting the wider adoption of digital financial transactions.

Egypt Post Advances an Integrated Digital Services Model

The services and solutions showcased during the visit reflect Egypt Post’s strategic shift toward an integrated service delivery model that extends beyond traditional postal operations to encompass government, financial, logistics, and digital services.

This transformation builds on Egypt Post’s extensive geographical presence and advanced technological infrastructure, enabling the organization to bring services closer to citizens while reducing the time, effort, and costs associated with accessing them.

Through this integrated approach, Egypt Post aims to strengthen financial inclusion and accelerate digital transformation by delivering more accessible, efficient, and secure services that respond to citizens’ evolving needs and everyday requirements.

Egypt Post Reaffirms Commitment to Digital Transformation

At the conclusion of the visit, El-Baz emphasized that Egypt Post is continuing to implement an ambitious strategy to modernize its service ecosystem and expand its digital, financial, and logistics solutions.

She added that the organization is leveraging its human resources, technological capabilities, and extensive nationwide network to strengthen its national role in supporting the government’s digital transformation and financial inclusion objectives.

The strategy aims to deliver modern and advanced services that meet citizens’ needs while keeping pace with the evolving requirements of everyday life.
