KIPCO’s – Kuwait Projects Company (Holding) – Group CEO, Sheikha Dana Naser Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, has been named one of Forbes Middle East’s Sustainability Leaders for the fourth consecutive year, recognizing the Group’s continued efforts to embed sustainability and strengthen governance across its portfolio companies.
The recognition was in the investment and holding companies category and took place during the fourth Forbes Middle East Sustainability Leaders Summit, held in Abu Dhabi on October 19–20 under the theme ‘Resilience for a Sustainable Future’. The event was held under the auspices of the UAE’s Minister of Climate Change and Environment, HE Dr Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak Al Shamsi. The award was received on behalf of KIPCO by Mr Meshari Al Duhaim, Senior Manager – Corporate Communications and Investor Relations.
The recognition reflects KIPCO’s efforts to advance a coordinated approach to sustainability across its diversified portfolio. Through its Sustainability Working Group, KIPCO brings together representatives from its Group companies to share knowledge, align practices and strengthen sustainability reporting, environmental responsibility and governance.
These efforts were reflected in KIPCO’s fifth annual Sustainability Report, published earlier this year under the theme ‘Growth with Purpose: Advancing as One’, highlighting the Group’s collective progress towards shared sustainability objectives.
Commenting on the recognition, Ms Eman Al Awadhi, Group Senior Vice President – Corporate Communications and Investor Relations at KIPCO, said:
“Being recognized by Forbes Middle East for the fourth consecutive year is a testament to the progress we are making as a Group. For KIPCO, sustainability is not simply about reporting on our commitments. It is about translating them into action, strengthening governance and embedding responsible practices into the way we do business. By bringing our Group companies together around shared priorities, we are building a more resilient organization, better equipped to navigate change and create long-term value for our shareholders and the communities we serve.”
The summit brought together public and private sector leaders to explore sustainability challenges, emerging opportunities and the role of resilient institutions in shaping a more sustainable future.
