Allianz Egypt, a leading insurance provider and affiliate of the SanlamAllianz Alliance, has announced a three-year strategic partnership with Misr El Kheir Foundation to establish and develop five community schools across Assiut, Aswan, Kafr El Sheikh, and Luxor, coinciding with the start of the 2026/2027 academic year.
The initiative coincides with Allianz Egypt’s 25th anniversary in the Egyptian market. As part of the celebration, the company will allocate EGP 25 from every life or motor insurance policy issued during the initiative period to support the targeted educational projects.
The partnership includes establishing, renovating, and upgrading the five schools, equipping them with school furniture, whiteboards, uniforms, and educational and technological resources, and covering their operating costs throughout the initiative. These measures aim to provide students with a comprehensive and supportive learning environment.
Allianz Egypt employees are also contributing by preparing school bags containing essential stationery and educational supplies for students across the five schools.
Charles Tawdros, CEO of Allianz Egypt and Managing Director of Allianz Life Assurance – Egypt, said the partnership reflects the company’s long-term commitment to investing in education as a cornerstone of resilient and sustainable communities.
He added that the initiative aims to help children, particularly girls, access quality education in an environment that promotes equality and expands future opportunities in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. Tawdros also highlighted the company’s continued commitment to leveraging its expertise and strategic partnerships to support innovative and sustainable educational models with a lasting impact on future generations and local communities.
Dr. Mohamed Refaie, CEO of Misr El Kheir Foundation, said the partnership builds on the foundation’s strategy to expand private-sector collaborations in support of effective education. He noted that community schools are a key pillar of its efforts to improve educational access for children in underserved areas and reduce school dropout rates.
Refaie added that the collaboration extends beyond school infrastructure development and operational standards to include sustained, comprehensive support for students and their families. He emphasized that investment in education is fundamental to building a society in which every child can exercise their right to learn.
The partnership builds on Allianz Egypt’s ongoing efforts to support education, including its collaboration with UNICEF to advance educational programs for vulnerable children and previous initiatives with Misr El Kheir Foundation.
These initiatives have included supporting the development and refurbishment of Kahk Qebly School in Fayoum and providing the necessary equipment and supplies for more than 900 students. Allianz Egypt has also launched its School of Happiness initiative, which aims to equip schools and provide safe and supportive educational opportunities for eligible students.
