Egypt Automotive Summit Prepares to Launch Its 11th Edition with a Renewed Vision to Position Egypt as a Regional Automotive Manufacturing and Export Hub.

Egypt Automotive Foundation is preparing to launch the 11th edition of the annual Egypt Automotive Summit on Sunday, November 22, 2026, under the theme “Egypt Vision 2030..Development of the automotive sector and feeding industries.” The event marks a new milestone in a journey that began in 2014, aiming to support the growth of Egypt’s automotive industry, strengthen dialogue between government and industry stakeholders, and lay the foundations for an integrated strategy to develop the sector.

The upcoming edition follows a decade of efforts to bridge perspectives between automotive manufacturers and relevant government authorities, while bringing international expertise to the Egyptian market. The Summit is now entering a new phase focused on identifying and following up on the practical steps required to achieve the government’s targets, enhancing Egypt’s ability to attract new investments in vehicle and component manufacturing, and consolidating its position as a regional hub for production and exports to African and international markets.

Over its ten previous editions, the Summit has evolved beyond hosting industry discussions to bringing strategic issues to the forefront of the automotive industry’s development agenda and discussing practical proposals with relevant authorities. Key milestones included the launch of the National Automotive Industry Development Strategy, following discussions spanning six editions, as well as contributions to developing proposed incentives for manufacturers. The Summit also provided the platform for the National Automotive Industry Development Program (AIDP) to be introduced during its eighth edition.

Discussions at previous editions of the Summit also addressed mechanisms for linking incentives to local component content. They added value, strengthening opportunities to include automotive and component manufacturing among targeted investment sectors, supporting the inclusion of feeding industries in industrial financing initiatives, developing specifications and quality standards for locally manufactured components, and addressing challenges related to securing land for industrial expansion.

The Summit has also highlighted growth opportunities in automotive technologies and embedded software, as well as related export opportunities. It has also opened communication channels between companies operating in the Egyptian market and representatives of international industry organizations and manufacturers’ associations from Africa, Europe, and India. These connections have helped create broader opportunities for cooperation and knowledge exchange, while strengthening Egypt’s potential to attract international companies to its local market.

The 11th edition will focus on identifying the practical measures and proposals needed to advance Egypt Vision 2030 targets for the automotive sector. Key priorities include achieving annual production of more than 100,000 locally assembled vehicles, increasing local component content, expanding the base of local suppliers that can meet manufacturers’ requirements, and developing automotive components that can compete in international markets.

The Summit will also examine the requirements for establishing an industrial base that can keep pace with global transformations in the automotive sector, particularly the shift toward electric vehicles. Discussions will cover investment requirements, technology, supply chains, and feeding industries, as well as opportunities to attract new international companies to manufacture vehicles and components in Egypt. Participants will also explore how Egypt can leverage its geographical location and trade agreements to strengthen access to regional and international markets.

Building on the success of the Automotive Feeding Industries Exhibition during its previous two editions in strengthening connections between component manufacturers and automotive producers, the Summit will host the exhibition’s third edition this year. The exhibition aims to promote integration across different segments of the automotive industry, create broader opportunities for commercial and industrial partnerships, and explore the potential to expand local manufacturing and develop domestic suppliers.

Automotive feeding industries are becoming increasingly important in strengthening the sector’s competitiveness by increasing local added value, reducing reliance on imports, and supplying components that meet international quality standards. They also play a vital role in building export capabilities and opening new opportunities for Egyptian companies to participate in global supply chains.

The 11th edition is expected to bring together automotive industry leaders, policymakers, government representatives, automotive dealers, manufacturers, distributors, major international companies operating in the Egyptian market, automotive component manufacturers, and relevant international organizations. The event will feature a series of specialized sessions and discussions, followed by a special celebration marking the occasion.

Through its upcoming edition, Egypt Automotive reaffirms its continued commitment to serving as a platform for dialogue and collaboration among all stakeholders in the automotive industry, with a stronger focus on translating visions and proposals into practical steps that support local production growth, attract investment, and expand export opportunities. These efforts aim to strengthen Egypt’s potential to become a regional hub for automotive and component manufacturing.
