Inside The Mark’s Collectable Universe: The Hotel Objects Guests Want to Take Home

A favourite hotel has a way of staying with you. It might be the scent that greets you on arrival, the robe you reach for after a long bath, or a detail that makes you smile each time you pass through the lobby. At The Mark, those impressions find a life beyond checkout through Le Shop, a collection of objects that carries the Upper East Side hotel’s personality into everyday living.

With its signature black-and-white stripes appearing across the collection, Le Shop offers a recognisable piece of The Mark for the dressing room, bookshelf or dinner party. Designer collaborations sit alongside illustrated homeware and playful accessories, giving guests and admirers a way to choose the part of the hotel they would like to keep close.

For the home bar, The Mark x Alessi Corkscrew translates the hotel’s graphic identity into a sculptural everyday object. Designed in Italy, it combines chrome-plated construction with a thermoplastic resin body, finished in black-and-white stripes and the “M” monogram. Currently offered on pre-order, the piece brings a distinctly Mark touch to opening a bottle and makes a thoughtful gift for a host with an eye for design.

The same sense of character appears at the dining table. The Mark Illustrated Plate Set comprises six fine bone china plates featuring illustrations by Jean-Philippe Delhomme. Set out for supper with friends, they introduce a little of the hotel’s wit into the evening, with drawings that invite a closer look between courses.

Scent offers a more intimate reminder of a stay. The Frédéric Malle candle brings Jurassic Flower, The Mark’s signature fragrance, into the home. Composed by perfumer Carlos Benhaïm, its magnolia, peach and apricot notes are housed in a white ceramic vessel. Lit on a quiet evening, it offers a familiar connection to the hotel from miles away.

For slower mornings, The Mark’s white Egyptian cotton bathrobes carry the signature monogram, while the women’s pyjamas created with La Ligne pair pure cotton with navy piping and relaxed, wide-leg trousers. Both bring a touch of hotel comfort to the hours before the day begins.

On the coffee table, The Mark by Assouline offers another way into this world. Written by Derek C. Blasberg, the volume explores the hotel’s design, memorable moments and the personalities associated with it. Elsewhere, puzzles, playing cards and pet accessories make room for the more playful side of life at The Mark.

Whether chosen as a reminder of a New York visit or a gift for someone who appreciates the hotel’s style, these pieces allow the pleasure of a stay to settle into familiar routines. A candle to light, a plate to use, a book to return to: a little of The Mark, at home.
