Egypt Energy and FIREX Egypt 2026 will open tomorrow at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC), bringing together more than 200 local and international exhibitors from 25 countries. Organized by inD, the three-day event will run from 12 to 14 October and is expected to attract over 12,000 visitors. This year marks the 35th edition of Egypt Energy and the sixth edition of FIREX Egypt. The exhibitions are held under the patronage of the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency.
This year’s edition features the Energy Club, a data-driven business marketplace that brings a lineup of high-calibre buyers from Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Sudan, Morocco, Kenya and across the Middle East. The Energy Club matches pre-vetted buyers with exhibitors based on their active purchasing needs, project pipelines, and technical requirements. By combining AI-powered B2B matchmaking with human curation, it turns meetings into real commercial opportunities and partnerships, with measurable ROI for exhibitors.
Egypt Energy will address several key topics facing the energy sector. These include Egypt’s energy transition, the expansion of renewable energy projects, and investment and financing strategies. The agenda also covers regional integration and cross-border electricity interconnection projects, developments in the electricity market, and the role of public-private partnerships in delivering energy projects.
The Egypt Energy conference will cover topics across the entire energy value chain, from generation and transmission to distribution and end use. A key focus will be the challenges facing electricity grids, alongside success stories from recent grid upgrade and modernisation projects. The agenda will also explore advances in renewable energy, including solar, wind, energy storage and microgrid technologies, and their role in strengthening energy security.
Sessions will further address Egypt’s energy transition, investment and financing strategies, regional interconnection projects, public-private partnerships, and the green hydrogen economy. The programme also includes the Technical Excellence Forum and an Innovation Challenge, giving start-ups the chance to showcase new ideas and solutions.
FIREX Egypt will address key issues in fire safety and protection. These include building safety and compliance in major infrastructure projects, safety in the chemical industry and industrial facilities, and the evolution of international codes and standards compared with Egyptian regulations. It will also cover protection requirements for facilities and warehouses.
The FIREX Talks will showcase the latest detection, alarm, suppression and passive protection technologies, and the criteria for selecting suppression systems according to their application. They will also cover safety strategies for high-risk sectors, including oil and gas, data centres and manufacturing.
The programme will highlight the role of digital technologies in advancing safety systems. This includes the use of AI in fire detection, IoT sensors, real-time monitoring systems, and the integration of fire alarms with building management systems. It will also cover cybersecurity requirements for facilities’ digital infrastructure.
The talks will also cover fire safety management across the building lifecycle, the economics of protection systems and maintenance, and risk, liability and insurance management. They will further examine integrating safety requirements into green and sustainable buildings, and emerging risks linked to smart cities and digital transformation.
The event will include workshops and live demonstrations on testing and certifying passive protection systems and measuring the performance of detection and suppression systems in operation. These sessions will give professionals hands-on exposure to the technologies in use and to the requirements for selecting and operating them according to the nature and needs of each facility.
Mark Ring, Group Director, Energy Portfolio, Middle East and Africa at inD, said that holding Egypt Energy and FIREX Egypt at the same time offers an important opportunity to bring together two ecosystems that are directly tied to the success of modern projects. He explained that the sustainability and efficiency of energy projects also depend on the safety of infrastructure and facilities, which gives the integration of the two exhibitions practical value for both sectors.
He added: “Through this event, we aim to give professionals, experts and companies a platform to exchange knowledge and experience, raise the challenges facing their markets, and discuss practical solutions. Direct dialogue between the different stakeholders in the industry also opens the door to new ideas and partnerships that can help advance practices and operations.”
He continued: “The agenda of the two exhibitions reflects the rapid development of the energy, safety and fire protection sectors. Bringing this expertise and these technologies together under one roof helps participants follow the latest trends, keep pace with innovation, and explore how to deploy new technologies more efficiently.”
Egypt Energy and FIREX Egypt are among the leading specialised events that bring together companies, experts and decision-makers. They aim to support knowledge exchange, showcase the latest products and solutions, and discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of the energy, safety and fire protection sectors.
