Valeo Health Redefines GLP-1 Weight Management with a Digital Doctor-Led Care Model

As GLP-1 medications become an increasingly prominent part of the UAE’s weight-management landscape, Valeo Health has recorded a 60% increase in consultations between 2025 and 2026, as more people seeking GLP-1 treatment turn to its doctor-led, medically supervised approach.

The rise comes at a time of heightened interest in GLP-1 therapies across the UAE. With new oral weight-loss treatments now available in the market and healthcare professionals continuing to emphasise responsible, medically guided use, attention is increasingly shifting from access to what happens after a patient starts treatment.

Valeo Health brings the different elements of GLP-1 care into one continuous digital healthcare experience, from initial testing and doctor assessment through treatment monitoring, lifestyle tracking and medication delivery.

For Valeo Health, the shift towards medically guided GLP-1 treatment starts before a patient takes their first dose and continues well beyond the prescription. Every patient begins with a blood test, with a doctor reviewing their results and medical history before an online consultation and prescribing treatment only where medically appropriate. From there, care continues through the Valeo Health app, where patients can track symptoms such as nausea, fatigue and headaches and share those updates with their doctor, creating an ongoing feedback loop that allows treatment to be monitored and adjusted as needed.

That same approach extends beyond medication. By connecting with wearable devices, the platform brings sleep, steps and workout data alongside weight and dosage information, giving doctors and patients a broader view of how treatment is progressing and how lifestyle factors may be influencing the journey. Medication can then be delivered directly to the patient’s home, bringing testing, medical oversight, monitoring, lifestyle data and delivery together within one continuous care experience.

“The conversation around GLP-1s in the UAE is evolving. It is no longer simply about whether people can access these medications; it is about how they are supported once they begin treatment,” said Suhan Kapoori, Director of Obesity at Valeo Health. “Our 60% increase in consultations reflects a growing appetite for medically guided weight management. We want to ensure that care is continuous and consistent, from the first blood test and consultation through monitoring, lifestyle support and delivery, so that patients have their clinical team with them throughout the journey.”

The shift towards more connected models of care comes as the UAE continues to see strong interest in GLP-1-based therapies. UAE doctors and pharmacists have reported increased demand for medications such as Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro, while the June 2026 approval and launch of oral Wegovy further expanded the range of weight-management options available to eligible patients.

Valeo Health’s approach reflects a broader evolution in weight management, moving from a medication-led model to continuous, medically guided care that supports patients throughout the full treatment journey.
