Located at ibis World Trade Centre, the city’s first premium dedicated Mahjong café and social destination brings together specialty coffee, curated dining, board games and a dedicated space for people to connect around the table. The opening was marked by the presence of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra.
Founded by Ruchita Pardiwala, One Forty Fourz Café was born from a passion for Mahjong and a desire to create a dedicated home for Dubai’s growing community of players and enthusiasts. More than a café with gaming tables, the concept brings together hospitality, entertainment and social interaction in a contemporary setting designed to encourage people to step away from their screens and enjoy meaningful time together.
Originating in China, Mahjong is a game of strategy, skill and instinct that has travelled across generations and cultures. While players work to create winning combinations from its distinctive tiles, the experience extends beyond the game itself, bringing people together through conversation, friendly competition and shared moments.
