Egypt Post is participating in the eighth edition of the “Turathna” Handicrafts and Heritage Exhibition, taking place at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Fifth Settlement from October 17 to 24. The event brings together more than 1,000 exhibitors representing a wide range of handicrafts and heritage-related industries, as part of ongoing efforts to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises and promote the growth of Egypt’s creative industries.
Dalia El-Baz, Chairperson of the National Postal Authority, emphasized Egypt Post’s commitment to participating in Turathna as part of its broader role in supporting artisans and owners of micro and small businesses.
She noted that Egypt Post provides advanced postal, logistics, and financial solutions to help businesses market their products, facilitate deliveries to customers, expand growth opportunities, and preserve Egypt’s cultural and heritage identity.
Shipping Discounts and Integrated Services for Exhibitors
El-Baz explained that Egypt Post’s pavilion at the exhibition offers a variety of shipping and delivery services, including “Waselha” and “Easy Box,” enabling exhibitors and visitors to ship products and purchases safely and conveniently to destinations across Egypt.
She added that Egypt Post is offering a 20% discount on Waselha shipping rates throughout the exhibition, providing artisans and small businesses with a competitive advantage, helping reduce operating costs, expand their customer base, and strengthen their position in the domestic market.
E-Commerce Solutions and Cash Collection Services
The Chairperson of the National Postal Authority highlighted that Egypt Post also provides advanced solutions for product delivery and collecting payments from customers. These services help streamline buying and selling transactions, support the growth of e-commerce, and create new opportunities for artisans and entrepreneurs to develop their businesses and reach broader domestic and international markets.
She emphasized that integrating shipping, delivery, and payment collection services is an important tool for supporting small businesses and enabling artisans to capitalize on online sales opportunities while adapting their business models to the digital transformation of the retail sector.
Mobile Post Office to Serve Turathna Visitors
To make essential services more accessible during the exhibition, Egypt Post is providing a mobile post office vehicle equipped with an automated teller machine (ATM). The vehicle offers a range of financial, postal, and government services, allowing exhibitors and visitors to complete their transactions conveniently and efficiently.
Egypt Post’s participation in Turathna reflects its commitment to leveraging its postal, logistics, and financial capabilities to support the local economy, strengthen the growth and sustainability of handicraft businesses, and preserve Egyptian heritage while creating broader economic opportunities for traditional crafts.
